LG VX-6000
no signal strength on phone
I used this VX6000 until March when I bought my new phone. Added a 3rd line to our family share plan, and now suddenly 3 months later, this phone cannot get reception for anything. It was working fine a month ago. Any clues?

I currently have the 6000 and it's the strangest phone. Signal strength varies greatly with the slightest movement. Try dialing *228 and then select #2. That may help with your reception.

Thats the problem . It hasn`t had the programming done in months and Can`t be done at my house anymore. I took with me today on a short trip and around town it barely had any signal. When I finally got the update on it, it had full strength in town , and no service at all at home. At home , my VX 8000 has at 50% signal most of the time.
