T-Mobile USA 3G vs. Euro 3G

by Rich Brome (Moderator)    Jan 11, 2010, 1:59 PM

I'm just saying that T-Mobile USA doesn't use the same band for 3G as they do in Europe. That was the assertion I was correcting.

Therefore, yes, a phone needs to be at least dual-band 3G (and the correct two bands) in order to get 3G service with T-Mobile USA and in Europe.

T-Mobile USA does sell plenty of single-band 3G phones that will not get 3G service in Europe. For example, many of the Samsung 3G phones sold by T-Mobile USA do not support 3G in Europe.
