If anyone has used the v600 abroad, were there any problems with the modes switching automatically? And does the phone need a current converter to charge overseas or just an adapter for he plug?

thanks a lot!

I haven't had a problem overseas. It automatically converts electric all you need is the adapter.

I used the phone in Europe (Belgium, Swiss and Germany) during my trips. It works great in all these countries. I am currently with ATT WS and I only used their voice service. Not sure how well their data service work.

The v600 charger will work in 220V power as long as you have the right outlet plug. You can go to RadioShack to get the international power outlet plug. You don't need to spend money for the power converter (change 220v to 110v) -- just the outlet plug will do the trick. The v600 charger will work on both 110/220v.

I hope this helps.

Does instant messaging work in Europe? What service plans are necessary so I don't get charged $2+ for making calls within Europe?

Thanks!
