That's Great.. I work at tmobile and heard that att is not going to be the only provider.. I heard it might be coming here because we had good numbers with the number portibility customers.. Who knows.. But So far it's on the hush hush.. I hope it happens.. Regardless, I'm getting from att and unlocking it..

If you get this phone unlocked and take it to another carrier other than ATTWS, does the software in the phone change?? or will the Mmode software still be in the phone??

Does anyone know how to unlock the phone? I would love to have the unlock codes available, and I do not trust the sites online. I am a SunCom customer, which is part of the ATT network but for some reason we dont get the same phones as ATT....so I need it unlocked when it comes out. Thanks again.

you will not have to unlock this phone. it is a quadband phone and will work with any carrier. all world phones work this way.

That is completely wrong. You WILL need to unlock this phone if you buy it with service from AT&T in order to have it work with another carrier. This is common to every phone sold with service from a carrier, world phone or not.
