I'am in the middle of the Cingular & ATTWS trasitional period. I'am an employee & in need of a phone. Should I go with the V600 or the V551? I have heard of the handoff problems with the V600 on the 850 network. I have heard that this was the reason this phone was discontinued. Can anyone in an 850 majority network elaborate? Here are my uses with a phone:
Definitely need Bluetooth
Definitely a great speaker phone
Edge or GPRS no matter, I do not use the internet very often even if its free for me.
Camera - don't really matter.

I love the looks of the V600 but Iam concerned with the 850 mhz problems I keep hearing about.

I like the fact that the V551 has everything an more than the V600 but definitely hate the looks of the cheap bl...

The V551/V505 isn't changeable (like the V300 or V400). I haven't have handoff problems with the V600, but that's probably because I have a Canadian provider.

It may be biased since I am a V600 owner but I just think that it's a more robust phone, smaller dimensions, changeable faceplace, SyncML.

Best of all, only the V600 has the flashing exterior circular lights that glows different customized colors for caller ID, when you're charging the phone, turn the phone on (flashes like a rainbow), or using bluetooth (flashes blue). This was one of the main features which drove me to get this model. 😎

Yea, I'm so into lilac haze myself but I will end up getting all the faceplate colors available. I uploaded all sort of anime wallpapers that I have edited with PSP to go with all the color themes of the menus. 😁

Unfortunately, Rogers nor WirelessWave retails stores do not carry many V600 accessories so I'll have to either order online or bug my fiance to do some research. It'll be tricky for him because GSM doesn't sell in Vermont. Any suggestions as to where to get V600 faceplates cheaper than the direct HelloMoto website?

Le sigh, it's a CDMA world over in VT but Telus doesn't carry the V710 nor the A840. He wanted to get the V710 for me since he sells the phone but Motorola will void the warranty if it is being activated in Canad...
