I am assuming that the original posters comments were made out of ignorance, so I guess he would be better off knowing why the Curve exists:
-Just like car manufacturers offer a full line of cars to choose from with various features and price points, phone manufacturers do the same. There is a blackberry for most everyones price and taste
This is marketed as the Toyota of phones. It's solid, dependable, but not flashy and overly expensive. If you want a Lexus type phone, then RIM makes those too
-Your comments should be directed at the manufacturer which is RIM, not Sprint. They only sell the phones
-There is a long list of improvements from the 8330. The main ones are: WiFi, more than double the memory, smaller form factor, trackpad, and a better OS
It's a real blackberry, you just weren't comparing the correct phones for your tastes
