I've had my Eris for not quite 5 days now, and I've noticed a lot of quirks/possible bugs. I'm wondering if I may just have a bad unit, or if this is a problem with Eris in general or this version of the OS, or if it's Android in general. Here is what I've found so far:

- A couple of days ago, my email accounts just disappeared. I went to check email, and it wanted me to set up a new account. Both accounts that I had previously set up were just gone.

- A couple of times, the phone has completely frozen up so I couldn't unlock it. So far this has only happened when it was charging, plugged into my PC via USB. Eventually after a few minutes, it came back to life, but still an annoyance.

- I have not been able to get it connected to an...

I've had it for about 6 weeks and what's great about this phone is that I keep finding new things that it can do!

First of all, if you haven't already done so, reboot the phone. I found when I first got it that it would be quirky at moments. I was reminded that it's basically a PC, and that it needs to be restarted every once in a while. Anytime something quirky starts happening, I reboot it.

Of course, that's after I kill tasks. Go to the market and get either 'TasKiller free' or 'Free Advanced Task Manager.' I have both installed as I haven't figured out a preference yet.

I also recommend 'Battery Widget' "Dolphin Browser' and 'WaveSecure Mobile.' I think Wave secure is going to start charging in April, so grab it ASAP and...

just a quick question. why do you recommend dolphin browser? when i go to the VZW stores here, a lot of them have that installed. what's so different about that browser vs the stock browser? thx
