The 2.x update hasn't happened yet. They've been doing minor updates to 1.5 to improve performance and whatnot. That's why you're not noticing any significant differences.

1.5 is nice 😁 but 2.0-2.1 would be cool 😎

Not entirely true. Although 2.x (2.1 more than likely) hasn't been officially released, some users across the US have experienced an update. It's sort of a premature leak of you will. Those that got it actually ended up losing everything on board their device. So no doubt its coming soon.

Mostly the GPS capabilities. You'll get amazing turn-by-turn navigation, as well as access to various apps that rely on the extended GPS capabilities.

Also pinch to zoom on the home screen. A feature called leap. Syncing of facebook phone numbers to your contacts list. New power widget is nice. A new calendar agenda widget.

What about the Voice Dialing over Bluetooth? Will 2.1 add this in as well?

If anyone out there with the 2.1 version on their Eris can verify this, I'd appreciate it.

Scenario: I have a portable GPS (Garmin Nuvi Series) in teh car with BT and Voice Dial features on it. I want to use the Voice Dial while phone is paired over BT with the Eris. Let me know the outcome please.

Thanks ain advance!

Hi everyone, can someone explain why there are so many problems with voice-dialing over the blue tooth when paired, even stating "doubt that any android phone can do this" when in the information for the phone it says HFP supported. Is this not hands-free profile when one pairs to blue tooth in the car? I have a regular old Samsung Alias2 phone as opposed to a smart phone and that Alias won't work through the bt in the car either, but my old Envy 2 does! So is there something I am not understanding? I realize to pair to a Garvin is not pairing direct to a car's built in blue tooth but shouldn't this work if the phone (any phone that says HFP supported)lists it as a feature? What difference does it make if the bt device is built in to the car ...

Sorry I don't know the answer to that question but this isn't the thread to post that it. You should start a new one if you want to get an answer.

I wasn't just stating that "I don't think any android phone can" for nothing. the problem with voice recognition over blue tooth is the the Android OS "as a whole" doesn't support it.
