I think RIM knows and understands it's problems with US market share. If you look at the bigger picture on a global scale they are doing nothing but growing at a crazy pace!

Nokia has this issue by the way. They are pretty much unheard of in the US but they sell more phones than anyone in the world.

There is something in their lineup i'll pickup this year.

For me looking at RIMs situation they started out as a business tool and then the smartphone explosion hit. Of course iphones and Android devices are going to appeal more to the masses. They were built for that.

RIM may just settle into that area again. For me it's fine.
I need reliable e-mail, contact management, and something that makes phone calls. I still work in a world where the dominant devices I still see in meetings are company issued blackberries.

Am I a dying breed?
