BlackBerry Storm2 9550
DIDN'T EVEN LAST A YEAR....HOW PATHETIC!
The latest rumor coming from the team @BBLeaks is that Verizon is putting End Of Life status on the BlackBerry Storm2 9550 and BlackBerry Curve 8530. These devices just came out less than a year ago so this is some fast turnover for RIM. The Storm2 9550 is going to get a refresh with BlackBerry 6 and 512MB of memory to support it.
Here is the wording:
The Curve2 is end of life – Final Shipments August
Refer to the “Stock Check†tool in POS for on hand availability
Device will retire on 8/1, replacement coming in Q3/Q4
BlackBerry Storm2 (9550):
The Storm2 is end of life – Final Shipments August
Refer to the “Stock Check†tool in POS for on hand availability
Device will retire on 8/15, replacement coming in Q3/Q4.
It might be end of life for them but I just got a replacement unit and loaded it to the hilt with input. My Storm2 "just got born!"
To hell with RIM & Verizon with their device wiping updates!
