Mystical port

On the back of the Storm, there is a port directly above the camera viewfinder and the flash. I questioned a Verizon tech on its function and was told it was cosmetic. This is nonsense because my case has a cutout for the port.

Does anyone know what it is? A speaker? auto focus? mike input? There has to be a reason for it. ????

Take a look at your Storm2 You'll see it.

Thanks for the right answer..... 🙄

In the clear plastic panel between the lense and flash or the one higher than that on top?

I am thinking it's either something to hold a case or holder onto, something allowing them access to pull the panel off, or where your phaser fires from on the Storm. Mine is set to kill iphones 🤣

It must be a screwdriver slot so you don't slip when the hammer strikes. Seriously, it has to do something. I purchased the Blackberry rubberized case and it is fitted with a slot for the cutout in the plastic screen. They would not design it for cosmetics. I would never have thought about it if that case did not provide for it to have a purpose.

But then again. how many times has the Original Storm (without rhyme or reason) failed to perform? All Owners suffered until the 5.0 OS fix appeared 2 days before the new device was released. I still believe it was held back just to motivate potential buyers to the "greatness" of the Storm2 with an OS that actually worked.

RIM is a major supplier of illogical behavior.... :
