On the storm 2's that i have seen in the stores, there are 6 icons on the bottom. Is there a way to get rid of all or some of them so that the only thing showing on the main screen is the picture?

On the Stock Zen theme supplied with the Storm2, you must have 1,2, or 3 rows of icons on the home screen. You can also have the "today screen" which will eliminate the icons but post message, phone, and calender fields in your wallpaper.

The only way to get around this is to DL a Plazmic Theme, many of which eliminate the icons and provide an option to bring them up on demand (hidden).

You can find several icon-free themes on this link. They provide screenshots and features....

I have been using the "today Screen" setting on mine. Got a favorite theme?

Appleberry Dark Stack Ks2S Version 10 Plazmik, by Blingberry Themes (available on Crackberry) with stacks, 2 icon slots. Very clean background on the Menu screen and great icons. 5 icon pop up on the home screen.

Also, Blackberry Pro V3 red 8 by Natemz, available on the Storm OTA site (Free).
This theme does not interfere with my Wallpaper changer app and is very fast. Only 578 Kb, and comes with distinctive icons. 😉

Many thanks!!! I gave up on the themes a while back when they slowed the OS too much on Storm 1. I need to give it another go 😁

Hawkeye,

Im still a big fan of the Apple Berry theme with 4 icons. Its the theme that has the bouncing icons. I really like it because it shows the calendar in preview of like 10-12 things without actually having to go into the caldendar or using the today screen 🙂

Click the BB button...Go to Options...then under Set Home Screen Layout to Today instead of the # of rows you have set. Hope that was helpful 🙂
