hello,
sorry for the triple posts, want to move on this phone though....
Can i assume that this phone will be easy to setup syncing with desktop MS apps, specifically Outlook, or will be pre-configured to do so?

one of the hesitations for me, for waiting until Android phones is if they will sync with outlook, or just google products, i do use a gmail imap account, but everything else is outlook. does anyone know about this.

thanks again,
rlr

I am using this phone for 30 days to see how I like it. Thus far, I have had it for 2 weeks and so far so good.

I came from a Blackberry Storm and using desktop manager, etc. With this phone all i did was plug it into the USB port and voila, my outlook and all my calendar info, contacts, etc were in the phone.

I use aol mail and that i have to set up to send/receive on a time schedule (every 5 min to every day etc). Outlook mail gets pushed directly though.

Thanks NYC Jess,
I was assuming that the MS products would work well together, I did read that you have to get software for it on your pc, but from what you're saying maybe that's not so. Actually that may have been for remote desktop, which I also want to use with it. I went ahead and ordered the phone this past weekend, supposed to come tomorrow. I already returned a phone so won't be able to return this one. I feel like I'm going to be happy with it, despite some of the criticisms I've read about winmo 6.5.

thanks,

RLR,

You're very welcome. I hope that was helpful. I should've also mentioned I am using Windows 7 so I dont know if that makes a difference w/ re: to syncing.

Overall what I have found with the phone is that it is pretty finger friendly, however, I use the stylus when inputting appointments, etc into my calendar.

The touch flo is good looking, but its customization is very limited. eg, I can remove the stock icon but I can't add a facebook icon or another icon/app. What I've done to get around this is program my media button which is customizable to my facebook and then I wiped out everything it would let me on my Start shortcut page with the Windows button and completely organized that the way I want it. Somewhat iphone/storm es...

Hi,
yeah, thanks. now i've had the phone a couple days, and i must say it is strange going back and forth between the touch flo and windows start screens, and you're right, would be good if you could do more customizations in touch flo. I tried disabling touch flo to just use the one interface, but then you have zero customization options, as far as what icons you have up, and what position they're in. It's weird that with touch flo on, in the ms start screen you can customize the icons, with the annoying exception that the empty spots are displayed, but then when you turn off touch flo, and go back to ms start screen, it's fixed. The only other thing is i wonder why they limited the add in memory to 16GB, rather than 32. over all happ...

Regarding Outlook sync do you need to have ActiveSync installed? And I wonder if this would work with Hotmail in Outlook? I can sync my Hotmail account in Outlook using the Outlook Connector.
