8900 Vibrate
I have the updated softwere audiovox 8900 and it is a great phone! Sound is 10000 times better then my V60 and the construction of the phone is very solid. However the feature it does not have that I need is the vibrate and then ring. Also it needs to vibrate for text messages and voice mails which I can not get it to do. Does anyone know if the 8600 will do that and or if there is a way to get the 8900 to do what I want it to do?
Thanks,
Glenn

Glenn,,, I believe on the 8900 if you put the phone in etiquette mode by holding down the * key, it will do what you want,, i.e. anything incoming will vibrate.

Coachman,
Hey thanks you were right! Now... (I know what a pain in the ass) is there anyway to get it to vibrate a reminder (like the v60 can do) and or beep a reminder?
Thanks,
Glenn

Glenn,,, I think the same thing applies here to. If you are referring to adding an event on your calendar and then having it remind you. When you add an event, the very last input item is the ringer,, which is the default, and again if you have etiquette mode on, it should vibrate. Might want to test by inputting an event and have it remind you say 1/2 hour later with the etiquette mode on.

Just FYI this may be of some help as well. When you turn the ringer to the very max on the 8900 you will have vibrate as well as your ringer at the same time. Unfortunalty unless your in ediquette mode you cannot have a vibrate alert for text messages
