Come on Mot, can't you bring iDEN style into the current time period?
No it isn't the prettiest iDEN Phone out there. It isn't meant to be. If you want a Pretty iDEN phone you can go with the i9, i890 or the soon to be released i1. Or better yet go to a carrier that has phones that are meant to be glitsy or (in the lexicon of today)Blingy.
I i680 is a tough, durable, waterproof phone meant for people who are hard on phones or work in a job that can kill anything else. Yes it has a Camera, it can play music, record video, has a GPS, a nice interface (for iDEN phones that is), has a external color screen, has a MicroSD slot, has a fast processor and gaggles of memory (for a iDEN phone). But it's signature feature is it's toughness. This phone is hands down the most sturdy, durable, kick ass phone out there. It isn't meant for the style conscious, it's meant for people who need a phone that can survive construction, water, heat, cold, blowing rain, heavy dust, people who drop phones a lot. This is the second brute I have owned, my son has my first one, he destroyed his phone when he wrecked his bicycle. I have had this new one for almost 3 weeks and it has survived a almost 3 story fall, a swim in a 14 foot deep pool, 2 thunderstorms (I live in Pinellas County Florida, multiple bumps into sharp corners and my cat attacking it. And except for 2 scuff marks, NOTHING is broken, nothing got wet and it still works. That is what this phone is about. Going through the 7th level of hell and coming back with everything working.
Anyone who wants a phone to work no matter what, get this phone. For someone who is interested in style, I suggest you look somewhere else, or wait for the i1
