Hope you are still looking for the answer to your question--in order to activate a prepaid phone on a postpaid account, the prepaid version of the phone must be active as a prepaid line of service for over 6 months. If that phone hasn't been active as a prepaid phone for more than 6 months, you can't use it on a postpaid account. The system won't even allow it to be changed. Hope that helps!
