Bought prepaid version- can it be used for postpaid account?

Hello- Since my phone is dying before Verizon will let me buy a new one at the discounted price, I bought an Accolade VX-5600 on EBay, but got the prepaid instead of the postpaid version. Does anyone know if the prepaid version can be activated and used on a postpaid account? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Hope you are still looking for the answer to your question--in order to activate a prepaid phone on a postpaid account, the prepaid version of the phone must be active as a prepaid line of service for over 6 months. If that phone hasn't been active as a prepaid phone for more than 6 months, you can't use it on a postpaid account. The system won't even allow it to be changed. Hope that helps! 🙂
