Hello everyone! Was just wondering how you all like this phone so far? I'm about to call and order it, so if anyone wants to give a little feedback, that would be great! Thanks!! 🙂

🙂 Just replaced my clout with a new clout after i couldn't pair the original to my car. The new clout appear to be working fine including the bluetooth. Will get back in a few days after i use it for a while. so far it is working well. At this point i can recommend this phone.

Liking mine just fine thank you!
used it all day today, took off the charger at 5:30 am and now its 10:15 pm and still 3 bars of battery.
About a couple hours talking, texts and quite a bit of time today in a building that kills signal, but was still able to make and take calls with no problems.

Thanks you guys for the input! I am calling Paul tomorrow (Tuesday) to order mine. He was super busy today, and he couldn't take care of me, because on Friday he told me to call Monday, and he felt bad so he is going to over night it free of charge! Pretty nice of him. So I will call him Tuesday and get everything set, and should have it Wednesday. After a few days, i will post what I think of it. Thanks again!! 🙂

I like the Clout, I love the keypad and everything else except my battery only seems to last one day. Am I missing something?

What are you doing on the phone? I talk and text and the battery seems to last quite a while. If you're listening to music, etc, it may be draining the battery more. Or wherever you got it, you can ask them too. Sometimes you can get a faulty battery, in which case needs to be replaced. But I'm not sure what you are doing on it, and is it always fully charged? Good luck, I know I'm not helping much, but you may be doing things that drain the battery faster. 😲

The only thing I do is talk and text. More texting than anything. I appreciate your advice. Tks.

Okay, here is the answer to your battery problem. You obviously let the personnel at the VZW store activate your phone at the time you bought it. This is what degraded your battery. I have had batteries degraded and destroyed in the same manner. What you are supposed to do is to fully charge your battery before turning on your phone (for the first time) with the battery in it. Your only solution now (and I have had to do this several times) is to get a new battery and fully charge it (in the phone) before turning the phone on for the first time. Good luck.

Mellowpaul.....My Clout's battery has been lousy from Day One (7/31/10) and yes, I charged the battery before I initially turned it on. I bought my Clout from an authorized outside dealer.

From Day One I noticed the phone resets itself (Turns off then on) several times a day. Thought it was normal like a software or roaming update.

I finally called VZ tech support yesterday. After some diagnostic tests they determined my phone was toast! They said the resets indicate a power issue and hence, my battery issue. They are sending a new one. However later in the day I received an e-mail telling me the one on the way is a "Like New" unit.

I was not happy. But they explained that since it's a "warranty replacement" and after the 30 day ...

Wow, Celway, I had no idea there were so many issues with the Clout. I got mine about a month ago from eBay and have not had any problems with it. Since the Clout is so new I would guess that the "like-new" one they are sending you is one that someone was having problems with. I upgraded from the Samsung Convoy, which is a great phone with a battery that holds a charge for an extremely long time. The only drawback is a lack of sharpness since it has only 176x220 pixels as against the 240x320 pixels on the Clout in the inside display. If the Clout does not work out for you, I would recommend going with the Convoy. The Convoy also is ruggedized...it takes a licking and keeps on ticking.

I am so glad I found this forum! I am having the same issue. I have charged my phone 4 times in the last 6 days. My old LG vx78350 could go a week with heavy texting and talking. Yesterday, I did not use my phone at all and the battery was on one bar at night. Today I have sent a few texts and that is all and already I am down one bar. I specifically got this phone because it was supposed to have excellent battery life. Please help! I love everything about this phone except cannot understand the poor battery life. Also, some of my pictures do not show up on my phone even though they are on my SD card.

I think I might have messed up. I had the phone off when I was first charging it. Then I read the directions and turned it on (obviously I was not thinking). I am hoping my battery will be alright but I may need a new one. What type would I get? Are there official batteries out there or are they all generic? Thanks.
