Yes but apps are saved on the SD card. So if you put in a different card then you will not be able to access the previous apps you downloaded on the other one (haven't tested).

Also I am pretty new on the Apps2SD concept. I know its said to partition the card that way but I'm unclear as to exactly why. Also not for sure if the 500mb is used for apps or the remainder on the card (pretty sure its the 500mb tho).
