Re: Live Background
First problem, I didn't know my version of Android wasn't rootable thanks to Sprint. After downgrading the software the root was easy to apply.
Second problem was with Aps2SD - I didn't know I had to partition my SD card for that to work. Finally found out how to do that through recovery mode (powering off phone then powering on hold power button and home button). There's an option in there to partition (I left values default for ext being 500 megabytes).
Mostly it took so long because I had to do alot of Google searches to find this info. After finding it, it was easy to apply. Also there are a bunch of things you need to download (if you do it manually).
I would say easiest way would be to downgrade software first (found the downgrade on XDA forums). Then visit www.unrevoked.com from your Hero. Click on the image and it will download an app that does all the work for you - run it and done!
After that you would just need to download the apps you want to use (wireless tether, Apps2SD, SetCPU, ect..). Or you can install a ROM which takes a little more time and research lol.
