Google voice is free. It gives you another phone number to use on your phone (like a free 2nd line). I use my Google voice as my personal number and my real phone number as my work. You can send text msgs from your Google Voice number, block specific people from calling, transcribe your voicemail, record your calls, voicemails that are recorded in Google voice can be saved as MP3, ect.

Also you can forward you calls from your Google voice to any phone - it can go to your landline, your cell phone or your buddies cell phone for example. This way you have one number for multiple lines (and you don't have to give out your real numbers lol).

Google would only charge you if you made international calls.

Perfect. I'll mess with my mom and dad. And a few other people I know. You can use the phone book from the phone you have right? 😈

Correct. When calling you can have it ask which number you want to use (or use the built in widget to switch between). For txt msging, send the msg from Google voice application or send from regular txt msg to use normal number.

Oh so much fun! Can you choose the number or does it get picked for you? Do you of any apps that let you call someone from your phone and it shows up as a fake number on their phone? 😈

It doesn't really let you pick specifically - you can pick a general area than have a number assigned.

I just switched from Blackberry and on that phone I had bluff my call. I haven't yet checked for Android but definitely will 🤣

First I would use bluff my call and have it display an obvious fake number (ie 555-555-5555). Usually they wouldn't answer and if they did I would promptly hang up. Then I would use Google voice and txt them like how come you didn't answer my call baby? 🤣 or something to that equivalent. This usually confuses them - thinking an obviously impossible number to have is calling them then a strange number is txting - good times haha.

Its even funnier to do this to someone who is in the room cuz then you get to see their reaction first hand 🤣 and you can make comments about what they're wearing lol

Also with bluff my call; call someone and have it display someone elses caller ID they know.

For example: I called my sister (who wasn't in the room) using my roommates caller ID then hungup b4 she answered. Then I would call that roommate (who was in the room) showing my sister's number and hangup. Then they would both call each other back and argue (you called me what do you want? No, you called me!) 🤣

I would just sit back and try not to laugh.

I did a search for Bluff Call and found it. Its a free app download. Free feature is 2 mins per call (that's all I ever need).

I just downloaded it 😁

It definitely works as promised lol. Free version gives you two minutes (after listening to an ad). I noticed it lets you change your voice on the free one too (blackberry version wouldn't unless I paid).

My wife and I have come up with some really weird things to do with it. We called my mom from her favorite restruant and told her we missed her since she hasn't been in awhile and she was freaked out. She came over the next day and told us all about it so I called her from the number again and showed her it was me. She thought it was awesome!
