Exchange server compatability

I'm interested in this phone and would need for it to be able to receive email messages from my employer's Exchange server. My employer currently needs to pay Blackberry something like $100 a year per user for an enterprise server license (I think that's what it's called) so I can do this. Is that necessary with this phone or no?

As long as your company pays for ActiveSync then you should have no problems. My company doesn't, but we do have OWA and I use a free email app by SEVEN (makers of the email app for Sprint Mobile Email App) to sync my OWA email and its a true push email.

I was more thinking on the company side, like my IT department. I heard that there have been security issues between ActiveSync and iPhone, but I'm not sure about other devices. Would my IT department need to buy an SSL certificate?

Thanks! 😁
