Why no Android 1.6
Anyone know how easy/complicated the Android interface is as far as sync-ing with a desktop?
Do you have a source that verifies this, links?
I'm seeing many reviews that have 1.5 and not 1.6. I am also hearing that it must ship 1.6 since its CDMA.
1) HTC will install 1.6 from the get go. OCT 11
2) HTC will offer an upgrade to 1.6 later in October or early November. It will require you to wipe your phone. Individuals must update.
3) You wont see it on the HTC Hero.
I'm leaning it will be #2.
1.6 was JUST finalized by Google and released (including to companies like HTC.) HTC will need more time to create a version of 1.6 tailored for the Sprint Hero.
They will offer a 1.6 update for it. Although they have not publicly committed to it, HTC has told me it is "likely", which to me means they're working on a 1.6 update and plan to offer it, barring any unforeseen glitches, etc.

The HTC Hero for Sprint is the first Android handset to run OS 1.6. Reviews of the Hero have mainly been positive, but there’s a consensus that it is somewhat sluggish.
Seems like including a proprietary element like Sense defeats the purpose of Android...unless HTC offers free Sense upgrades as fast as Android evolves.
