VOYAGERBOY TO RELEASE ANTI-DROID CAMPAIGN

voyagerboy

Oct 11, 2010, 10:51 AM
you got it! voyagerboy will be hitting the campaign trail this fall in an effort to warn people of droid deception. The purpose of this is to save people from the hardships myself and others have endured over the past year as a result of being duped into buying a droid. We will be using online petitions and various news outlets to get the word out 😁 . our objective is to help people make wise choices when choosing a phone, if this effort is as sucsessful as i hope it to be, and with support from others hopefully we can rid the world of this useless family of phones.. stay tuned for updates!!!

You mean it's going to get worse? I rather thought you were already on a campaign to "warn people of droid deception". Oh wait, you said that was a "clandestine", so now you're moving from "a clandestine" to "a campaign". So the obvious question then becomes, if I hear a news item about how awful the droid is, how do I know it came from you? Is it going to say "voyagerboy said..."? Inquiring minds want to know!

By the way, I'm still waiting to hear about the "hardships" this family of phones caused you.

I'm also curious how you claim to have been "duped" when there have been several of us repeatedly over the last year and then some, telling you that you need to get a different phone, and yet you continue to spam us with your nonsen...

listen, it would be one thing if they came out with just one droid, but it does piss me off when they keep pushing the same crap on people in a different form, and wayyyy overcharge people. It also pisses me off when i see a droid 2 commercial and the users arms turn into robot arms because the phone is so fast and i look down at my droid2 and it says the constant error messages i get like "cannot play video", "no data connection try later", or buffering for 5 mins at a time, in fact as i write this im trying to listen to a podcast on it and keeps skipping in and out, its almost comical at this point. And the other icouldnt find a garage sale i was looking for cause once again the gps just would not work!! It also pisses me off when i read a...

It pisses you off because you DONT UNDERSTAND PHONES

Period. I'd venture to bet you don't understand most advanced technology so if something doesn't work the way you want the first time, you assume it's an issue with the device.

Nearly ALL the issues you're listing are EXCLUSIVE to you, and it doesn't matter how many different phones you try.

So think about this:
-The Droid is one of the highest ranked phones of the past 2 years from reviews and customer feedback
-it has an extremly low return rate
-no one else is complaining about it like you do
-you are having the SAME issues on two totally different devices.

This means the problem isn't the phone, it's not the software, it's YOU. You're like a caveman saying that a car ...

You're not someone who understands tech, you're someone who likes flashy things.

If you're phone before this was the voyager, you don't always have the latest and greatest. Even a blackberry was better than the voyager. It just wasn't as "flashy" but as a phone, as a mobile device, it was light years ahead of the voyager. Yet you had that.

I suggested the Jitterbug because you're not someone who is good with technology. You might like flashy things but you've proven yourself unwilling to actually sit down and try and understand it. If it doesn't work the way you expect it to right away you assume there is something wrong with it instead of the way you're operating it.

This is painfully obvious because of the way you describe your is...

voyagerboy said:the phone does not even deserve to be compared to iphone

I have to admit you are correct in this. The Droid is a must better phone than the iPhone could ever be. It would be like comparing a Pinto (iPhone) to a Bently (Droid)

voyagerboy said: how the hell did they get thst many people to drop 30$ a month on a data plan(that dont work btw) for the droid, someone like myself i could understand, but all the spoiled teenage brats i see with droids sicken me!!

It is because they take the time to learn the device. I admit my wife had her Droid before me, and when I first looked at it I didn't understand it. But I saw the potential it had, and after spending ...

if the problems i have are "user releated" please explain to me how i can get the gps to not say im not in poland when im in new york, or how can i get the phone to stop saying "cannot play video" when it stops in the middle of the vid. to display that. and i am also currently working with verizon field techs to resolve the issue of no data and the tech addmitted the speeds he was seeing were "unnacceptable" to qoute him. and in regards to me still having a droid, i have heavily contemplated leaving verizon although sprint is my only other option since i had major problems with atnt in 02'. money related issues not tech, but i continue to keep verizon because they are addressing the issues and they keep giving me new phones for free, im tryi...

p.s. you people should be thanking me for being such a consumer patriot, instead of this public lynching!!

Thanking you for what? Not listening to knowledgeable people like mupi and menno? You know if you would just shut up and listen to what people are trying to tell you then you wouldn't have the issues you have had. I have no idea how old you are, but you really need to grow up and just learn how to use this phone instead of always bashing it.

You've been posting for a year with "problems" that NO ONE ELSE is having, period. When you first started posting Mupi and I and others tried figuring out what your issues where, instead you just piled on MORE issues that made less sense, and didn't even ATTEMPT to explain what was going on besides such gems like "When I touch this thingy the other thingy stops"

The issues ARE you, period. There is NO WAY you could have so many devices all show the exact same issue and it NOT be your fault. If it was an issue with the phones, more people would be talking about their issues and the Droid2 wouldn't have the highest satisfaction rating of ANY phone in Verizon's history.

These phones arn't complicated to understand. But you don't know ...

The GPS problem and the video playback problem are probably related to the data throughput problems, but that is a network problem, not a phone problem, and would likely plague any verizon phone in your area. which might also explain why your friends are having issues with data too. One reason you might notice it more on the Droid than on your previous phone is that Droid uses significantly more bandwidt...
