That's about all you can use a phone for anyway.

im posting about ligitimate problems with the phone, since im now someone who has had 3 original droids and 2 droid 2s, i think i know more about the phone then most people in this forum, and the fact that i have differnt problems with different phonees proves its not user error, and theres nothing wrong with a little consumer awareness, and like minded clandestine over the internet to get people to avoid certain products for they're own personal benifit!!! bang ya done!! and stay off my thread if you dont wanna participate in my constructive critisim and rational judgment of a phone ive had 5 of.

I guarantee you that you don't know more about the phone than Menno, or than me. We have both attempted to help you, more than once. You didn't even know about the long-press until about your third original droid, yet you claim you "know more than most"?

the fact that you have had the same problem, over and over again, proves that MOST of the problems you are having, *ARE* user error. remember the long press? (Which in fact is something I have said, and I think menno has said as well, the "MOST of your problems" are user related; not that all of your problems are. Someone who can't distinguish between "most" and "all" probably won't be able to understand the subtle difference between "short press" and "long press", much less many of ...

mupi, read more carefully, the name of the thread is"new droid 2 new set of problems" most of the problems are phone problems. why do you think verizon keeps giving me more droid 2's at no charge?

as to the long press issue, it seems to me your harping on that issue a little to much since it was almost a yr. ago and i had just gotten the phone back then. it has nothing to do with the current droid 2 problems

as to your grammer lynching, you should have stuck to your initial reaction and dont critique mine, i wrote that last response in about 2 mins. during a football commercial, you should be paying more attention to the value of the content i provide as oppossed to the delivery.

"Like minded clandestine" means people using, media s...

Well, they've only give one Droid2 replacement, unless you aren't telling us the whole story. So I hardly think that qualifies as they "keep" sending you Droid2's. Furthermore, that they keep sending you replacement phones is more a testament to their continued good customer service in the face of your continued bad mouthing of them and their products. Many companies do that. I've worked for a few such companies that continually pandered tot he whiners. Most do, I think, justifying it becaus...

If you're phone before this was the voyager, you don't always have the latest and greatest. Even a blackberry was better than the voyager. It just wasn't as "flashy" but as a phone, as a mobile device, it was light years ahead of the voyager. Yet you had that.

I suggested the Jitterbug because you're not someone who is good with technology. You might like flashy things but you've proven yourself unwilling to actually sit down and try and understand it. If it doesn't work the way you expect it to right away you assume there is something wrong with it instead of the way you're operating it.

This is painfully obvious because of the way you describe your issues. You haven't even done BASIC research into what's going on with the devic...

I couldn't help but laugh at this. I think by you having so many replacement due to the same "problems" that no one else seems to have shows that you have not one iota of knowledge on how to use these phones! I think you just need to quit posting about your so called "problems" and just leave it at that. Just get your iPhone so you can post about the problems it gives you over on their forum, and leave the rest of us alone.

Sounds to me like you need to turn off the auto restore feature of Froyo.

I suspect, given the apps you have admitted to having, that there's lots of little goodies floating around in your google account from 2.1 that can cause issues when loaded onto a 2.2 phone. for example, do/did you have a camera replacement? I know you complained more than once about the camera, so I suspect you used a non-standard camera app. If you did, then when froyo auto-restores your google account, it will load the other camera program as well, and maybe that camera app isn't compatible with froyo, or maybe there's a new version that does have froyo compatibility, but you didn't install that yet.

Even problem connecting to 3G could be traced back to cru...
