Battery quesion?
I have noticed this a few times with my droid that it was say like 80% battery and twenty mins later is pops up red and says 15%. This is only happened like 3 times since i have had it. Any thoughts on why it does this? Thanks

1. are you using a battery widget?

if that is the case, it is the phone, my boss (we work for vzw) has the same issue... we changed his battery 3x and still the same effect... one more question do you have it rooted? if not, then its is the phone but 2 things i would wait till 2.2 comes out(dropping this week) and see if it fixes it. if it doesnt do a warranty replacement. if it is rooted, i have seen some roms messing with the battery cause its cranking on the battery from overclocking it.

I have had the same issue for the past 4 or 5 months. I think the phone just wants a power off cycle - I never turn mine off - and cycling the power clears it up for a few more weeks. It's really not a huge problem - after a power cycle the battery indicates whatever charge you had in it before the red light came on.
