I notice that Verizon now has SIM cards in their Blackberry's and the HTC Smart Phones to be compatible with Vodaphone's (who own's 45% of Verizon) global network. I don't see any indication that this phone is a world phone? Also, I wonder if it will be compatible with Verizon's new 4G, LTE network that they are rolling out?

You're correct. This is not a world phone. However, there are rumors of a GSM equivilant being prepared for overseas.

As stated on the specs page here, this is a CDMA phone only. It does not support GSM/WCDMA modes, nor LTE.

A GSM/WCDMA version is likely to be announced, but that version will be incompatible with Verizon's CDMA network.
