Hotmail email question

I have had the droid for 2 months now and i just added my hotmail account to my emails app on my phone but i cant seem to view my folders in my email except for my inbox and my deleted. any thoughts?

I have another question. I am sorry for asking cause i know you guys have probably answered a hundred times...lol...but what is the app called that lets you have 7 home screens?

Folders in Hotmail are an IMAP function, and are not supported by the POP3 protocol. I can't remember (since I'm running the leaked 2.2) if the stock email program supports IMAP on the official 2.1 or not. I seem to recall it does not. If it DOES, you should be able to connect to hotmail using IMAP, and your folders should be available to you.

There are several program tht will give you access to more home screens. aHome, OpenDesktop are well regarded paid apps, PandaHome or PandaHome2, Launcher Pro, Helix, or ADW.launcher are all free. I used PandaHome almost exclusively when it was 2.01, Helix2 on 2.1 stole me away from Panda, until I heard about ADW. ON Foyo, when you set up the account it askes if you want to connect with POP or IMAP. If it doesn't, then there's probably an emmail app in the marketplace with IMAP support, but honestly, it hasn't been that important to me, so I haven't looked.

how do u check if its IMAP or POP3 on your phone?

Go to your account settings, and check the incoming settings. If it's set to port 143 it's IMAP. If its set to port 119, it's POP. If its set to something else, it's probably POP, unless the server name is something like "imap.mailserver.com"
