how to make songs down loaded from pc to set as ring tone
I struggled with this. I bought my LG 8575 (Chocolate touch)from Alltel who doesn't allow custom ringtones. But it is possible. First, you need to find Bitpim. Download it, install it, all that grand stuff.
Set your phone for Modem mode under the USB settings on the phone.
On Bitpim you need to change the settings around. There should be something to the effect of "detect phone upon connection." Then plug in the phone using a USB cord.
When Bitpim tells you it found a phone, go back to the settings on Bitpim.
Somewhere there is a setting to select your phone from a list.
Now, the Chocolate Touch isn't supported yet so select the Chocolate 3 from the list.
That's it! Go ahead and add your mp3 ringtones to the ringtones folder on th...

😁 Oh I LOVE YOU!!! This worked so great! My 10 yr old loves that McDonald's filet of fish ringtone. I was able to download it to my music file but was unable to set it as a ringtone. I was getting ready to have it out with Alltel about this scam they are running, till I found your answer. Thank you so much.
