It needs some work- not ready for launch

I was looking forward to this phone but I'm sending mine back. The phone has a lot of great qualities like good build quality, nice rubberized housing, great hinge, nice sealed tight battery cover, nice keypad, and Moto UI!.....

but the damn phone ear piece volume sucks. Is it usable? yes for some but I find it unacceptable.

Wait!!!! Hold the Phone! This thing has the Moto UI?!?!?! Really?!?!. I returned my Blackberry Storm for this on the day it was launched. It should get here on Friday. If it really does have the Motorola UI then I definitely can't wait for it! Sweet!

It has the Motorola UI with a Verizon skin over it. If you select the "Steel" display theme, you get a modern version of the Motorola UI. You can also rearrange and choose what icons to have in your main menu like the old Moto UI did. Apparently, you can read text messages from the front screen too. It seems like a great phone.

As for the earpiece volume problem, some people are having the problem while others are not. I get the feeling it was a bad batch of them.
