Upgrade options for new iPhone 3Gs
If you purchased an iPhone 3G back in July, August or September of 2008 and have maintained service with AT&T at a monthly rate of at least $99.99 per month for your one line, you will be eligible for upgrade to the new phone tomorrow June 19th.
I hope this helps out anyone who is really looking to grab the new iPhone 3Gs.
Also a quick reminder all iPhone 2/3G can upgrade today to the new iPhone 3.0 OS. And unfortunately MMS and Data Tethering will not be available until later this summer. You will however receive a free text message when its available.

I paid the $499 and they came back and refunded me $200. I can't stand AT&T, but that was cool.

I never understand when someone says they can't stand AT&T, tell me another phone company on Earth that will credit half the stuff we will. I have credited $400 in overage due to someone increasing their plan by $20. I use to work for Verizon and felt like a monster because I had to tell that same customer to kick rocks. 👿

To be honest they all sux in one form or another. Be it AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile or VerizonWireless.

in what department have you credit that? i work for ATT and very well know the credit limit i am allowed per call. unless you work in the C&A department that doesn't make sense

I issued a ticket for the $400 credit it goes to our RPG department who issues the actual credit but if the customer is willing to increase their plan to cover their increased usage we do it as a one time favor. 😎

As far as the paperwork we have recieved on this offer it doesn't seem to matter what phone you had, the key point is that you have had a combined total on your one line of $99.99 a month since start of service in 2008.
