Yeah - same thing with YouTube Blackberry app. Just hangs at the terms and conditions screen.

I've noticed on the Tour that all of the Google-backed BlackBerry applications, including Google Maps and YouTube, erroneously identify the device as a Storm. That's why in Google Maps, there are magnifying glass icons for zooming and a My Location icon on the screen that can't be pressed. This is also the problem with the YouTube app. The Accept and Decline buttons on the screen are meant as touch screen buttons, and there's no workaround, so we can't get past the T&Cs.

Way to go, Google! 🙄

Google maps seems to have been fixed right away- mine works fine. Ascendo Data Vault- not so good, they won't have a fix until late next week. This happens with all the new phones- Storm had the same problem.

Does your Google Maps have the magnifying glass icons on the screen itself? My Google Maps works fine, too, but you have to just know that the 1 and 3 keys zoom in and out and that the 0 key goes to My Location since they're not menu options. Unless they've updated the software since a couple of days ago and I should try to download it again?

I've re-downloaded and it looks like Google has fixed the issue. 🙂 It was raised by someone else at http://tinyurl.com/m2wgan and a Google employee chimed in saying they made a change on their server so that the correct version is downloaded onto the Tour now.

This could be because the phone uses an OS very similar to the Storm. It might take App makers a bit to catch up to the new coding. Google apps and the like should be rather quick, third party ones might take some time.
