why cant the cell phone manufacturer ever make a cool phone that runs on umts 1700 im mean really i would love to buy this phone if it rann on tmobiles 3 service i dont know how long i can wait for the touch pro 2 to hit tomible and this is killing me i would love to get ecited for this phone but i cant becasue i cant enjoy the phone.

I feel your pain even though I use AT&T. The problem is AWS is still fairly new and Nokia takes forever to adopt change. In the future, I can see them adopting this.

But you have to remember, the NAM radios AT&T uses isn't only US specific but includes all if not most of North America, and the majority (but not all) of the rest of the America's. There are also other regions that use 1900 umts.

If other areas adopt 1700 AWS, with a larger user base, they will include it.

BTW, I have the same issue with the G1 and other Android phones. With some glimmer of hope if Rogers's G1 and Magic carry 850/1900 umts. I'd just get an unlocked Rogers phone.
