LG enV Touch VX-11000

i wl be upgrading in nxt few wks. i was orig lookn at alias 2 & env3. with the new data plan required on most phones now, i decided to look @ othr fones. i'm now looking @ the EnvTouch & Samsung Rogue. the Rogue has a very nice screen resolution & seems to be a cool phone. of the two phones, i really love the way the EnvTouch feels esp on the qwerty & its a perfect size for me. here are just a cpl ?'s i have about the EnvTouch...& if anyone can answer these same ?s about the Rogue, plz feel free to let me know.


1) how easy is threaded messaging? this is a big thing for me to have on my nxt fone. i also want T9 to save made up words. can't seem to find a straight answer abt T9 for this phone.

2) after playing with it @ the store for a few mins, i'm upset with the master ring volume. it is very soft whereas the Rogue is nice & loud. i read somewhere there may be an update coming out to make the ringer louder. i'm not computer or phone literate, but how can you make a phone louder w/ an update?

3) how well is this phone online? i've never had a cell in which i used the web. i believe i read the Rogue can get slow online but can't remember if it was bcuz of the site. i did read YouTube is slow on it. YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, etc. is no a big deal to me. if i go online, it's to check weather, mayb mapquest & check sports updates.

4) forgot to check @ store, but can the speakerphone be used w/ the phone closed? (the Env..i did chk the Rogue) or is it like the Voyager, have to have it open?


my friends are telling me to get a Blackberry instead of either one of these but I have no interest in a BB. any answers to these ?s & suggestions would be much appreciated. thanks.
