USB Port

I'm trying to find out if this Micro USB port will support a microphone/stereo headset. I've used my original headset (with volume control) with my last two LG phones VX8600 and and VX8700 and I really don't want to switch to the single prong jack deal. Is it possible to get an adapter to convert from the larger USB port to the micro USB port on the Env Touch? Oh, please! 😢 😢

Yes, you can buy the adapters. They range anywhere from $3 to $15 depending on where you get them! 😁

Yes, I found plenty of adapters, but I hesitate because I can't find any info that specifically states that this USB port on the VX11000 supports music listening headsets? It supports data, but that may not necessarily be music via a headset. In fact, I called Verizon and the Customer Support person couldn’t find any documentation either. I did the Live Chat thing with LG support and was told that this USB port was NOT a Micro USB port…it just acted like one. Hello…the “LG” website lists this USB port as Micro. Anyway, the adapter will be arriving shortly. Will let you know how it works out. Thanks!

How did the adapter work? I have been doing some research at the store I work at and most all the adapters we get are capable of supporting music. Out of curiosity too, what kind did you get?

Hey there! What kind of adapter did you test on the dataport that actually worked with music player?

I bought a very inexpensive adapter that didn't work because the ends were all wrong. I did find a 3.5 to 3.5 headphone adapter with mic (originally made for the Dare phone) that works great with my enV Touch and old earbuds....and it was free to me with an Amazon gift certificate. Not what I wanted, but I still have music and phone on one headset.

Honestly, it was a Motorola Headset Adapter 3.5mm to MicroUSB (model is SYN2113). We pay like $3 for them.
