Not recognizing 16gb micro sd card

I can not format the card it will not recognize the card my 8gb from my storm works just fine but not the l6 gb

Is the card a Micro SDHD card, or a standard Micro SD card? There are issues with a lot of phones, where they won't recognize the SDHD cards. It's different tech I suppose.

fixed the card for some reason when it was formatted by a pocket pc it would not be read but I used my buddy's blackberry and formatted the card and then it was able to be recognized and formatted for the touch.
