enV Touch calendar event notifications not working

jsg

Anybody else having trouble with calendar event notifications? I created two recurring daily events -- morning and evening reminders -- and set them each to notify "on time" with the low beeps ringtone and vibrate turned on.

After two days, I have seen a notification displayed only once out of four times that notifications should have been displayed.

The events are int he calendar as they should be, I'm just not getting notifications.

Anybody seen this issue? Know of a workaround to get this stupid thing to work properly?

Thanks.

I will test this feature and I'll get back to you. On Sunday June 21, 2009. I've used the Alarm and mine works but I'll test my recurring daily event and I'll see if mine works or not. :0

I may have identified the problem. I had set the start and end times of the event to be identical. I went back in and tried changing the end time to be an hour later, and I seem to be getting notifications now.

Unfortunately, the notification is like an alarm -- i.e., instead of notifying with a single ringtone/vibrate, like say an incoming message (and like both my old phone, and my blackberry), it rings/vibrates continuously until you turn it off, like an alarm. So I've been forced to disable both the ringtone and vibrate, so that there's just a screen display, which I'll eventually see when I look at the phone....

I'm glad its working ok for you. This feature has not changed from the my first LG phone. It does ring like an alarm. If you read some of the other blogs I've have my opinion or advise on this phone. Hope this helps

Still seems to be flaky. Sometimes it notifies, sometimes not....

I'm having problem with calendar too. For instance, I set a recurring event, one of the occurrences is tomorrow, July 3. However, the calendar notification appears on my phone today. When I look at calendar it indicates "no event" for today. I can't figure out why the event notification is a day early. It's driving me nuts.
