Samsung Jack i637
I got it !!!
Besides the Jack feeling sexy in the hands. Physically the Jack is a huge improvement from the Blackjack 2. I was worried about the keys being so close together. But the keys are raised so feeling out for them was no problem. I actually love its keyboard.
With its fast processor it blazes. Windows Media Player no longer does that long pause when going from track to track. I love the message ticker. Very helpful when wanting to read the message rather than going into messages like the Blackjack 2. Sound quality is great. In fact I think there is an improvement with Bluetooth. I use a Motorola HT820. With the Blackjack 2 the audio was a bit low. With the Jack I find the audio to be a lot louder and clearer than the Blackjack 2. The wifi is great. I used to have issues with wifi on the AT&T 8125 but with the Jack connection is fast and there is hardly no settings to play with to get it working.
The other thing I wanted to mention how the data cable is the same for the Blackjack 2. However when using the Blackjack 2 wall charger with the Jack, the Jack would beep. I took it as it was telling me that the charger was incompatible. It did no harm to the Jack but I won't try it again. The headphone adapter was the icing on the cake. Now I can hook it up to the car.
I was able to unlock the device and install my programs. NRG mini weather works flawlessly. All of the hacks are basically the same for the Blackjack 2.
Overall I am very pleased with the phone. I was checking out the Nokia n71x but thought it was way too small. I did not want to have issues with syncing and I did not want to learn a new OS. WinMo does the job well. I would recommend getting the Jack if your thinking about the Nokia... even the iphone. (I'm sure I will get flamed for that.)
I used Mobitv a lot on my Blackjack 2. On the Jack, it responds a lot faster and I don't have a lot of pausing in the video. I am guessing this has to do with the processor. Where I work I can only get Edge connection. And testing with both Blackjack 2 and Jack, the Jack performed a lot better.
The only problem I have with the phone is the screen in the sunlight. It's impossible to read. Other wise in room light it is bright and clear. The images and text seemed to be a lot crisp and clear compared to the Blackjack 2.
I give the phone a perfect 10 even with the screen glare in the sun issue.
Any questions, just ask away.
