LG enV3 VX-9200

i'm trying to decide between this phone & the alias 2. so far i'm leaning towards this phone. however, i have noticed several reviews of ones saying the phone shuts off automatically. i asked a VZW rep about this & they said it's a software issue & if you get it updated, it will stop. has anyone had VZW update their software to correct this problem & did it work?

i also heard if you talk on this phone for several mins, it gets hot. is that true?

is the ring volume pretty decent? i currently have the LG Voyager & you cannot hear that dumb phone ring unless it's in your lap or absolute silence. & you still may not hear it.

how is the threaded messaging on this phone? i heard it's not that easy on the Alias 2. having threaded message is a big thing i want on my next phone.

does anyone know if there is an updated version of this phone coming out soon?


that's all my questions for now. i really like to get your opinion so i can decide which phone to really go with. thank you.
