A month late

About a month ago my Nokia 6236 died. As I don't want a phone that flips, slides, swivels, etc. I had no recourse other than to get a Blackberry and pay the data plan (which I didn't wanna do) OR leave Verizon.

Well, the latter was my choice. Now I have a kick ass camera and mediocre service, with my Nokia N82 and AT&T service.

It's about time that Verizon got a bar phone, since they haven't had one since about 2006 (my 6236). If VZW got this phone a month ago I'd still be enjoying the coverage.

Too late to do anything now.

You could have (and still can) get the Palm Centro. This is a candy bar smart phone, but no data plan is required.

But it's a palm, which is a love it or hate it phone..

as for the OP: Even though it flips, the EnV2 is a great phone if you wanted a "candybar" style phone because you could do all basic phone functions from the front of the device. I've sold a lot of them because you can dial without flipping anything open.

Love Love Love my Palm Centro on Verizon. Yes, you could have done this. Candy bar - no data - great calendar - does everything I need.
