HELP! trouble syncing contact info
I just got my Pre thursday and I'm having trouble with it syncing all my gmail, outlook and facebook contacts. On my blackberry pearl my facebook info use to sync right away and would show the person's picture from facebook. Does anyone know how to make the phone update with this info?

If you have the ability, I would go to your nearest Sprint store, they have connectors there that can move contacts from other phones. They did this with my Blackberry 8900, and they also were able to sync my GMail contacts.
As far as sync with Outlook, I downloaded the app Pocket Mirror from the Pre App store. It works with a Wi-Fi connection, which I have at home.
I was not able to sync with Outlook using the data cable or the Palm desktop program. If someone who visits here knows of a way, please share. 😁

To sync your contacts from gmail, just go to contacts on your phone. On the upper left corner click the drop down menu for Contacts, then choose "Preferences & Accounts". Scroll the screen to the bottom choose "Add An Account". Then you just have to enter your username and password. I think facebook works the same way.
To sync Outlook you will need PocketMirror on your phone and Chapura SyncManager on the computer with that your Outlook is on. Use the WiFi on your phone to connect to the same network that your computer is on, then you can sync your contacts.

How to you get pocketmirror? I haven't got the phone yet. I will be getting it, this Wednesday. Will Chapura sync with older versions of Outlook?
