It's the speaker phone button. It only does this when the phone is
closed. Here's the fatal part: THERE'S NO WAY TO DISABLE THIS. The
person in customer support was unsympathetic, saying "lots of phones
work this way". I will NEVER own one. WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD?
The phone has been verbally prompting me for the past 10 days off and
on, driving me nuts. I figured I'd eventually figure out how to
disable this "shortcut", but today I finally tracked down all the
possible ways, including the "shortcut" menu, and this is not one of
the customizeable shortcuts. BLECH! This phone is out.
