Anyone else's keyboard stopped working?

My wife and I both upgraded our phones (I had a Nokia E62 and she had a Motorola KRZR) to the Xenon. After 2 or 3 days, my wife's keyboard stopped working. She could slide it out, but the screen didn't change to landscape mode and the keys didn't work. The very next day, mine did the same thing.

We took them both back and are now using our old phones. Has anyone here had the same problem with the keyboards not working? I'm waiting for AT&T to get the Nokia E71x in and I'll upgrade to it. My wife liked the Xenon as did I, but we need reliable phones. Did we just get 2 unusually bad phones or are these not really reliable?

Thanks.

No, but I feel like this is going to be a massive problem with AT&T.

I had a small feeling in the back of my mind that this phone isn't for me and my wife. Thanks for the heads up. Returning it asap! I'll wait for the kinks to get removed.

disclaimer: I sell them.

With that out of the way. We've sold about 50 and no returns. I don't think its widespread.

I personally carry the phone with no problems. In fact I'm really impressed with all its features.

The e71x should be great. My only complaint is that small chrome up/down/left/right. Hard for my big fingers. Other than that hopefully it will be greatness.

Thank you. We just bought the Xenon for our daughter on Saturday. (She loves it, unfortunately.) Tonight her keyboard stopped working. I thought she may have locked it somehow. Thanks for saving me hours of searching for an answer.

I had to send mine back after having it for 10 days because of the keyboard had stopped working. I had it replaced with the Eternity and couldn't be happier even though I would have been happy with the Xenon if it hadn't malfunctioned and if I felt like it would have been a durable phone.
