Samsung i700 - Too Old?

Need help! I am considering the i700 but it seems that it is "too old" (1-1/2 years?).

Is it worth dipping $600 or does someone think a newer and better smartphone is about to come out? I am with Verizon.

I have the i700 for about 8 months now. I was happy with it at first but it has lost its luster. For one, I find it too big to carry around when I am on pleasure (beach, motorcycle rides, BBQ, gym, etc). Also, its normal mode runs only at 200 mhz. (300 mhz for shorter battery life). I see all my friends PPCs and they are much faster and can do much more. I would love to have Wifi 802.11b built in to browse from my couch or a starbucks, Bryant park, etc. I would have like bluetooth as well for a headset.

For these reasons I have been searching for an alternative. And finally one has come. The Motorola V710 will be available shortly. This is a small color flip phone thats loaded with: Bluetooth, removeable storage cards, and all the other ...
