So I have been waiting for this phone for awhile...

Do we have an official release date for ATT?

Also, is there a reason to get this over the Bold?

Lastly, would you get this phone or wait for the new iphone whenever that will come out?

Thanks.

From what I have heard through the ATT people that I work with this will be coming out but in a 3G version not like T-Mobile's. That would def make this a better device that the Bold. Also there has been talk that the Bold will be hitting Verizon too.

T-mobile has exclusive rights for 90 days. ATT should pick this up after that.

Right, and its fair. AT&T got a 6 months deal from Nov. 4th. VZW has some kind of sales linked forever exclusive (for want of a better term) on the Storm. It was far more important and needed for TMO to get the 8900 then AT&T, they have no problems with selling Bold's. Adding the 8900 would just add price point below the Bold and quicken the ELF of the present Curve.

I do know Sprint wants a CDMA version of the Bold in the worst way and I'm pretty sure they will get it. I honestly think VZW wants this to allow them to beta test it out before they drop it on their network and customers. (then again I coul...

i'd be willing to bet that by the end of the year all the major carriers will have a version of each new blackberry. bold, 8900, and the storm. that's what happened with the curve and pearl anyways.

boy genius has also reported that blackberry may be working on a bold/storm hybrid. but that is just a rumor.

att will get this phone but it won't be 3g, it'll be a replacement for the 8310/8320 curve. at my store the 8310 is already considered a 'discontinued model.' so prolly have the 8900 by the summer.

the new pearl flip should hit VZW and att by the end of the year also. but that is just my speculation 🙂
