Alias 2 Bluetooth Stereo

Shadowplay

May 25, 2009, 12:19 AM
I picked up the Alias 2 phone a few days ago. I like it for the most part, although I was very disappointed with the sound of the Bluetooth Stereo.
Music through wired headphones sound fine, but when I connect it to either my BT headphones or car stereo, the sound is soft and extremely tinny.
My previous phone was the Moto v9m, which sounded much better. I also do not remember the Samsung Trance sounding bad.
Is the bluetooth stereo on the Alias 2 really this bad? I can't imagine it's my setup because I tried it with both BT headphones and a car stereo.
Anyone have thoughts on it?

I had this phone for three weeks. I had the same problem PLUS it would often stop playing music in the middle of a song while the clock time kept ticking by. What I figure Samsung did was they equalized the music so it wouldn't distort the external stereo speakers by removing all the lower-end bass. This is fine for the speakers but they use this same output for the Bluetooth stereo and that is unacceptable. I even verified this in the Verizon store on the demo. When I called Samsung they were not aware of this problem, but surely will be soon. Exchanged for an LG Voyager that has none of these problems. Too bad . . . the phone was way cool and a great conversation piece!
