Does the Samsung i500 or Treo 600 work with Macs?

by BIgBearLA    Nov 26, 2003, 6:35 PM

Hi,

I'm with Sprint and currently looking into getting either the Samsung i500 or the Treo 600.

I'm on Mac, and I want to be able to input my databases, maps, Word and Excel documents, etc. into the phone. But it's my understanding that even though they use Palm OS, these phones are more PC based.

I've check with Mark/Space who makes interface software for Mac users. They have software for the Treo 600 but nothing for the Samsung i500. Nor are they going to make any software to link the i500 with Macs. Their statement is "use Palm OS 4.1 and you're on your own. In some cases it works and some it doesn't "

Does anyone out there have any experience with either of these phones and Macs? Does anyone out there prefer one over the other?

Thanks,
BigBearLA
