You might try a security wipe. Go to menu/options/security options/security wipe. If you have a corrupted app, this will take care of that. You could always reinstall important apps. However, apps usually do not interfere with a DL of this nature.

Have you downloaded the 5.0 desktop mgr? If you try to install 5.0 from 4.7, it will not work. I've heard of others with your problem. Back up your files first into a folder. Once you've done that, you should DL without difficulty. If you ever move up to the Storm2, transfer of all data on your original Storm is easy. Remember at the point your DL freezes might take a long time but continue....
