Great reading 🤤

"When the BlackBerry Storm hit the market, owners were staying up all hours of the night waiting in hopes of a firmware update to leak in the forums, with the aim of improving the usability of the device. With the BlackBerry Storm2, this won't be necessary. Out of the gate the version 5 software runs very fast and smooth, quick screen orientation changes included. I'm sure CrackBerry readers who are Storm2 owners will still be online 24/7 looking for the latest firmware, but in the case of the Storm2 it won't be nearly as necessary."

After reading that review, it appears the Storm2 is everything the original is not. The biggest plus I see here is time lag elimination. You can now be productive with a responsive device as opposed to one with intentions that never materialized.

If I can keep my Drip1 working until release day, for the phone I thought I was buying last November, then I will, in effect, become a Storm Survivor... 😳

How can you be so sure that software version 5.0 will eliminate lags for the Storm2 but not for the Storm 1?

I believe the same processers are in both devices. It may be just the doubling of memory across the board that makes the difference in Storm 2

If you add a bunch more memory to your PC at home, it speeds things up too.

Great money making idea...We should make some t-shirts up with "Storm Survivor" written on them 🤣

I have found excessive memory allocation creates conflicts in the stability & performance, resulting in variable degrees of lag and non-responsiveness. My phone is loaded to the hilt with apps. I open with under 30mb and its quickly leaking, regardless of which ones are open. The Storm2 should perform better, because as previously mentioned on this thread, all the reserves are considerably improved, much higher capacity, and the superior hardware will interact much more effectively.

As for Hawkeye going into business with me selling Storm Survivor T shirts, great idea! Sales would be off the charts with one minor problem. My first order would be the last because of a minor glitch. The Call comes into my Storm, the buyer is excited, then al...

My first order would be the last because of a minor glitch. The Call comes into my Storm, the buyer is excited, then all of a sudden uTube opens, the mute kicks in, the screen locks half white, and I hear this.....Hello? Hello? hello? anybody there??? 🤣

Now if that happened to me, I would have to sit down, chuckle and watch some videos 🤣

Ah, that's the easy way out. Come on, you wouldn't address your smooth running dependable Storm? The dependable device that forgets its a phone? You've gotta be kidding!

Since I have a lot of practice with dropped calls and a multitude of "other" sins with my Breeze (aka Storm), I've learned to curse at it in foreign languages. This way, if the wife is there, she really doesn't know what the hell I'm screaming about, other than I dropped another call. Had fun one today! Pressed the contact list and my ringtones came up, and then the phone locked up!!! 😲
