Auto Dimming Now Working! Does anyone know a fix?
My auto dimming is not working. Even though I have set my "Automatically Dim Backlight" to OFF, my phone still dims after about 10 seconds.
My Backlight Timeout is set for 2 minutes. I have tried a battery pull several times but that doesn't work. Any suggestions on a fix or workaround? Verizon advises to do a WIPEOUT but I don't want to do that. That maybe more trouble that it's worth. Please advise. Thank you....

I've had this issue before and no one responded. I tried the wipeout and everything else, and finally called cust. service who told me to take the phone in and have it looked at. The tech saw the same thing and they sent me out a new phone, which now has another f*cking defect. I really want to love this phone, but seriously...WTF? Anyway, I'm guessing it's a defect like mine. If you can have them swap it, try to do that. Otherwise it's hopefully something a firmware update will fix.

Thanks very much. Appreciate your advice. FYI, I called Verizon who advised they were filing a written complaint to RIM Blackberry. I can't believe tech support hasn't previously received complaints for this same problem. I hope RIM Blackberry will include this fix with their next software upgrade. For all the problems I'm having with this phone, they will need alot of software upgrades. It seems no sooner I got 1 problem fixed when several more pop up.
